Winter Wonderland in Indiana
We woke up today to a vastly altered landscape. Several inches of soft, powdery snow fell throughout the night and made everything look beautiful. Times are pretty hard for us right now in a number of ways but I try to remember to be thankful for all of the things that I usually take for granted, like health, children, my wonderful wife, the house we live in, etc. I am also thankful for the weather even though snowfall makes traveling dangerous. Tristan and I woke up together this a.m. (as usual, he was sleeping on the floor on my side of the bed) and went downstairs to sit in an armchair in our family room, gazing out of the patio door at the beautiful snow. It was a special moment.
God is good! He will take care of us, no matter what. I feel bad about not being able to give very much this year in the way of presents for Christmas but hopefully I can get past my pride.
